British Designer Ashokji Bhojaji Odedra presents NYFW his debut collection ‘Rebels of Extinction’; with 11 years experience in the industry this collection represents the passions and beliefs of the ODEDRA brand. The collection is gender neutral, creating a bespoke look with a play on the everyday garments and silhouettes. The shape and use of fabrics with tailoring and draping, using a mix of sustainable, locally source, organic and dead stock fabrics. The nature of sourcing the fabrics in this way means each look is unique and limited, tailored for the individual with an eye for detail. Ji Ji By ODEDRA believes in being a socially conscious brand that understands the need for change within the industry. This collection “Rebels of Extinction” rebels against mass market fashion which is a huge contributor towards pollution in the industry. This collection shows that fashion can be created without mass production and instead with an eco-conscience. To do this, the fabrics are sourced locally and obtained from producers that use organic, and hand-loom techniques. Rebels of Extinction has been made with the use of the following materials: Organic Hemp, Biodegradable Fabrics, Dead-Stock Recycled fabrics, Reused Yarn Knit, Handloom Silk, Selvage Handloom Denim with vegetable dye indigo and other Raw Materials.
